Don't miss out on your CISA gift bag
It's not too late! Order a CISA gift bag for your friends and family, neighbors and colleagues, or yourself: a lovely tote bag with a new design by local artist Arielle Jessop, filled with locally grown treats and products from Local Hero members.

Bags will be available for pick up at locations around the Valley on Saturday, December 11th -- or available at the CISA office in South Deerfield until they sell out.

Your gift to CISA helps local farms
CISA works to make farming a little easier and uses your donations to offer free marketing, business planning, and grant writing help to hundreds of farms and farm businesses in the Valley. The work we do, with your support, is even more essential as climate change, the pandemic, and hunger continue.

Watch our new video (to the right!) to hear directly from farmers about how your donations to CISA help them -- and donate today!

Supply chain issues and local farms

Many of you have been reading about and noticing in everyday life! the supply chain disruptions brought on by the pandemic. Local businesses of all sorts are feeling the strain of these disruptions, and the accumulated strain of the past 20 months, so this is a great time to prioritize local businesses in your purchasing — whether it’s regular groceries, ingredients for upcoming celebrations, or gifts! And be kind to the people working hard to meet your needs in sometimes impossible circumstances.

Get to know Astarte Farm
Astarte Farm proves that farming sustainably doesn’t mean just taking care of the land for future generations, but taking care of people, too. Supporting the farm crew who provide food for the community and fostering relationships with the people who eat that food are key to creating a farm that will thrive in the future. Astarte Farm, along with other farms in the area, are figuring out what this new definition of a sustainable farm looks like, and they will be here growing vegetables and community for many years to come.
