What's in season and where to find it
Here's what you can expect to find at markets and farm stands right now: garlic scapes, cucumbers, all sorts of crisp greens, summer squash, maybe the very end of the strawberries and the very beginning of blueberries, and so much more.
Farmers' markets around the Valley are brimming with early season veggies, plus meat, cheese, maple syrup and honey -- everything you need for a fresh, seasonal table. Stop in and stock up!

Curious about what's really happening on local farms and what farmers are excited about? We talk with them every week on WRSI and our Valley Bounty column in the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Recently: raw, organic cheese at Chase Hill Farm, fun preserve from The Farm at CAT's Croft, delicious baked goods and regional grains at Rise Above Bakery, and more. Check them out!
