Strawberries, asparagus, and a lot more!
Summer is here! Early season crops are arriving and there's SO MUCH MORE to come. We can help you find it all! A couple highlights:
Pick your own farms are opening up -- the perfect weekend activity for friends and family! Find farms offering PYO in our online guide, but make sure they're open before you go.

Farmers' markets around the Valley are offering plants for your garden and all the exciting spring crops for your table: asparagus, fresh greens, garlic scapes, and so much more. Stop in and stock up!

Enjoy the inspired meals that Local Hero chefs are creating with the local harvest -- this is a great time of year to dine out or order in.

Curious about what's really happening on local farms and what farmers are excited about? We talk with them every week on WRSI and our Valley Bounty column in the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Check them out!
A great victory for the state: driver's licenses for all!
The Work and Family Mobility Act has passed. In 2023, all eligible Massachusetts residents will have the right to apply for a drivers license, regardless of immigration status. This is huge news, and a step that will improve road safety, increase the number of insured drivers, and make daily life safer and more humane for thousands of undocumented people -- including many farmworkers -- who are living, working, paying taxes, and raising families in the state.

CISA is proud to be been part of a broad coalition of advocates across sectors who worked for years to make this a reality. Thanks to all of you who called your legislators or otherwise took action in support of this bill, and to our state legislators who voted YES!

We need your support!
CISA depends on the generosity of people like you to support local farms and build a more vibrant, equitable, and resilient food
system. Your donation will go straight to work getting more local
food on more people's plates.

Hiring: TerraCorps Service Member
CISA is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to help build sales at farmers' markets and farms through HIP (the Healthy Incentives Program) and to build relationships with partner organizations that have direct relationships with low-income residents.
