Food Service Director Training

Save the Date of Wednesday, March 29 from 2-5:30 pm!
Greater Quabbin Food Alliance is bringing together food service directors from all sectors (schools, jail, hospital, higher ed, meals on wheels, nursing homes, early ed) from Franklin County/North Quabbin (and from beyond our region, but we are prioritizing those from our region) to support the procurement and use of locally grown food in institutional food services! GQFA will send out an invitation early next week so please be on the lookout and respond when you get it.
The gathering will include:
• Menu costing workshop—how to use local produce in dishes for the same cost as packaged ingredients
• Chef demo—possibly a baked item like a healthy breakfast option with local ingredients and no preservatives for the same price (including labor!) as a packaged item!
• Networking on topics of interest (on registration form we will ask you to select your top 3-4 topics from a list and organize discussion groups on those topics.)
