Connecting Point: Dairy Farms

WGBY, June 15th, 2016. Do you know how many gallons of milk a cow produces in one day or perhaps how many pounds of milk are needed to make one pound of cheese? With June being National Dairy month, CISA Executive Director Phil Korman visits two local dairy farms to talk with the farmers about the daily challenges today’s dairy farmer faces. And by the way, a cow produces 8-9 gallons of milk a day and it takes about 10 pounds of milk to make one pound of cheese.
