Connecting Point: Winter Farmers Market, Pt.1: Meet the Farmers

WGBY, February 12, 2019. Farmers markets are ubiquitous throughout western Mass during the summer and fall, but where do you go to get local goods when the temperatures start dropping? The answer is at the winter farmers market. Massachusetts first and longest running winter farmers market opened in Greenfield, Mass in February 2008. Before attending this year’s winter market, Connecting Point’s Brian Sullivan traveled around western Mass to meet the farmers and vendors who persevere during the cold season to provide goods for the market.
