Astarte Farm is breaking new ground by not “breaking” any ground at all. Going beyond organic, our goal is to create a regenerative model for agriculture on a scale that provides for profitable growth. Simply by never turning the soil, we produce certified organic local food with superior taste, increased shelf life and peak nutritional value. Our use of season extension techniques and permanent greenhouse structures enables us to provide a wide array of crops for most of the calendar year. Our specialties include unique lettuces, over ten varieties of heirloom garlic, a broad selection of cucumber types, pole beans of all colors and shapes, tomatoes above and beyond the standard reds, fresh-picked aromatic basil and tasty spinach of all sorts. Blueberries are our largest fruit crop and we also offer a sampling of niche crops in season. By picking our orders fresh daily, we are able to consistently deliver outstanding quality produce. Our local delivery area spans the five college area and extends north to Greenfield and Shelburne Falls.
