At Blue Door Gatherings we design menus to highlight the best seasonal products available from Massachusetts farms. It is imperative to us that whenever possible, we remain true to ingredients in season. Our service style is reliant on the nature of the event. It ranges from fine dining standards with our chef’s tasting menus to more approachable service for casual social gatherings.
Laura is the chef and proprietor of Blue Door Gatherings. She is a Massachusetts native who grew up with a curiosity for all things culinary. Laura was later driven to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and pursue a career in food. The bachelors program at the CIA revealed a second passion to her – the world of wine. She focused her last year of studies on advanced wine and beverage, which allowed her to spend time in exciting parts of the beverage industry including the schools very own state of the art brewery and wineries in the Napa Valley.
Over the last few years, she has divided her time between the Hudson Valley and Napa Valley and traveling the north of France. She is a graduate of The CIA with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and concentration in Advanced Beverage and Hospitality. Laura most notably trained in the kitchens of Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown, New York and Robert Sinskey Vineyards in Napa, California. Laura also holds her Level I Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and is pursuing her Certified Level. Blue Door Gatherings is her newest adventure!
