We are a family run operation committed to low-impact orcharding and the production of high quality, wild fermented and natural hard ciders and traditional cider products – cider syrup, apple cider vinegar, switchel syrup, fruit shrubs, and more! At Preservation Orchard – the home of Carr’s Ciderhouse – we practice regenerative agriculture and evolutionary orcharding – low input silvopasture for carbon sequestration, no-spray for avian and pollinator habitat, and traditional and experimental cultivars for pest and disease resistance. Fresh, organic vegetables from Preservation Orchard sold at our farm shop.
Check out our online shop, or visit our farm shop. Our winter/spring hours are limited so please check our Instagram or Facebook page for updates and hours, or visit http://www.carrsciderhouse.com
We open our outdoor Cider Garden on Route 47 each year from May through early November, Fridays 3-7pm, Saturdays and Sundays 1-7pm. We offer a variety of our hard ciders, plus non-alcoholic shrubs and fruit drinks, to be enjoyed at picnic tables under the shady chestnut trees. We don’t have indoor seating and close the Garden if it’s raining – so please check our social media or call first to see if we are open.
We have a farm shop located at 295 River Drive in Hadley.
When the weather is fine, we are open every day. If the doors are open but we are not staffed and you want hard cider, text us. We put the cider away when we are not staffing the shop. If the doors are closed due to winter weather, you can still text us at 413.336.7363 – if we can come out and help you, we will!
