We are a family run operation committed to low-impact orcharding and the production of high quality, wild fermented and natural hard ciders and traditional cider products – cider syrup, apple cider vinegar, switchel syrup, fruit shrubs, and more! At Preservation Orchard – the home of Carr’s Ciderhouse – we practice regenerative agriculture and evolutionary orcharding – low input silvopasture for carbon sequestration, no-spray for avian and pollinator habitat, and traditional and experimental cultivars for pest and disease resistance. Check out our online shop, or visit our new farm shop. Our winter/spring hours are limited so please check our Instagram or Facebook page for updates and hours, or visit http://www.carrsciderhouse.com

Our official open hours are limited, but because we are a farm, we are often nearby. If you are passing when the doors are closed, text our number and we will happily come out to help you if we are available. Likewise, if the doors are open but we are not staffed and you want hard cider, text us. We put the cider away when we are staffing the shop.

Our Farm Shop is open for the season! We would love to invite you to Preservation Orchard where we grow, press, and ferment Carr’s Ciderhouse Hard Cider. Like in the olden days, we slowly wild-ferment all of our ciders in a cold barn cellar, so blossom time means that our cider is just finishing fermentation! For the first time, we are featuring a limited spring release of our three 2020 traditional ciders (White Jersey, Dabinett, and Golden Russet) which still contain residual sugar. These naturally semi-sweet hard ciders are enjoyed by those who like their cider robustly fruity and less dry, and happen to be a perfect companion for washed-rind cheeses, like a French Cidre Doux. Our early tasting notes are very promising! So bring some cheese, fresh bread, and a blanket, and take in the glorious valley views with a glass of authentic traditional cider. Please note that we may have small quantities of our 2019 dry Golden Russet still available, but all other 2019 dry varieties are sold out.
IMPORTANT: Please check our website for any changes on the day you plan to visit. Weather and orchard road conditions will potentially alter plans.
