D & R Farm

I was raised on a turkey farm with my grandparent and parent. We ran the farm for 48 years, operating a large processing plant and store and with a wide range of vegetables and fruit. In 2009, I took the knowledge that my parent and grandparent gave me and started my own farm here in Hampden. We opened a year-round farm stand on our porch in August of 2014.

We produce chickens, eggs, turkeys, jams, salsa, pickles, vegetables and fruit in season, and baked goods to order. Visit us at our farm stand, open 365 days a year, and at farmers’ markets. We raise our own fresh produce, and chickens and turkeys with no hormones, because we want to know what we are eating and want our friends and neighbors to enjoy our meats and veggies too! Our CSA includes no-spray fruit and vegetables from our farm and other local growers. Farm-raised poultry and eggs are also available as add-ons. Please call us to sign up for a CSA, or if you wish to pay for your CSA with SNAP/HIP at the farm stand (to make sure someone is there).

We also offer subsidized CSA shares to seniors via Hampden Senior Centers’ participation in CISA’s Senior FarmShare. Please contact the senior center for more information.

Thanksgiving turkeys
Our own farm-raised turkeys! First-come first-serve. Price is $4.25 per pound, and bird sizes range from 10 to 40lbs.
