Convenient! Fresh! Local!
I don’t poison my food or yours. DJ’s Farm is managed using traditional, sustainable, biological methods and as many reusable supplies as possible. My goal is to tread lightly on our Earth while producing amazing food.
Plants are grown in soil, amended generously with compost, worm castings, and natural fertilizers. Pest control methods include low-till management, mulches, fabrics, predator species, and traps. Least toxic effective insecticide sprays are used only as a last resort. Herbicides are never used under any circumstances.
Harvests are frequent, offering the freshest, tastiest, produce possible, with lots of vitamins and minerals. No fossil fuels are used to transport DJ’s produce, as the farm is within walking distance of the farm stand. That’s local! For your convenience, I offer some items produced by other local folks with similar practices.
