About

Mycoterra Farm, founded by Julia Coffey, is a certified organic mushroom farm located in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. What began as a small farm focused on specialty mushrooms has grown into a diversified agricultural enterprise serving communities across Western Massachusetts and beyond. The farm operates with a regenerative mindset, transforming agricultural and forestry byproducts into nutrient-dense food while cycling nutrients back into the land.

Our mushrooms are grown in small batches with care and harvested fresh for delivery. Our certified organic mushrooms have become widely appreciated by chefs, retailers, and home cooks for their exceptional freshness, flavor, and consistent quality. You can find them at Big Y World Class Markets, River Valley Co-op, local farm stands, and by visiting our farm store at 75 Stillwater Rd. in South Deerfield.

The farm is also a place for community and learning. Visitors can shop our mushrooms and value-added products in the farm store, participate in hands-on mushroom cultivation workshops, and join our seasonal “Grow With Us” no-till CSA, which highlights regenerative vegetable production alongside our mushrooms.

Spent mushroom substrate is returned to the land as a soil amendment, helping restore degraded soils, prevent erosion, and build organic matter in our gardens. Buying from Mycoterra Farm keeps your food dollars local while supporting regenerative agriculture and a resilient regional food system.
