At Ridge Hill Farm, our mission is to share a diversity of local food, land management practices, and forest product services that are affordable and accessible in an ecologically, socially, and economically regenerative manner.
From the mushroom side of the farm, these objectives are met as follows. Our mushrooms will always be sold on a sliding scale basis. Those who may struggle to acquire quality food will not be barred by price and those that are able, are encouraged to offer extra support. A large multi-species pick-your-own mushroom yard (soft opening in 2024; grand opening 2026) will create an easy way for people to enter the inspirational world of mycelium.
We facilitate ecological literacy, exploration and analysis through guided wild fungi walks. We engage social connections through hands-on mushroom inoculation workshops. And we network economic diversity through local markets and fungicultural consultations for regional farms. We embrace resiliency through sharing and implementing innovations, research, and experimentation.
