Eat Up: Red Fire Farm Tomato Festival

We’re coming up on Tomato Fest time at Red Fire Farm in Granby. Ryan and Sarah Voiland will be offering tastings of over 100 varieties of tomatoes Aug. 22 at their farm at 7 Carver St. Festival-goers also will have the chance to pick their own.
The event runs from 12 to 6 p.m.
Musician Erin McKeown will perform and there will be children’s activities, wagon rides, a wild edibles walk, canning workshops and a 5K Tomato Trot through the fields.
Wood-fired pizza, Bart’s ice cream, beets and barley, grilled corn, potatoes and sausages from the farm, and fare from the Wheel House Farm Truck and Holyoke Hummus Company will be on sale.
Admission is $5, but children 10 and under get in free.
