Merchandising and Marketing Tour of Farm Stands & Markets
Join CISA for a tour of three different farm market outlets where proprietors will share successes and challenges while discussing the evolution of their businesses. Participants will see how these longstanding businesses use creative marketing strategies and will learn best practices on how to present and promote their products and other farms’ products in ways that attract and engage customers. This is a great opportunity to see different business models and hear from skilled marketers as you consider how to grow your skills and customer base, especially if you are a relatively new farmer. The tour will visit Local Hero members Golonka Farm, Long River Produce Market, and Ciesluk Farm Stand, all in the Deerfield/Whately area. Join the optional networking immediately following at Element Brewing, right next to the CISA office.
