Stony Hill Farm Walking Tour: Farming for Climate Resilience

As the climate changes, western Mass is expected to have more days with temperatures in the 90s, new pests, wetter springs, more intense rain events, and decreased soil moisture during the summer. We’re channeling our climate anxiety into efforts to build our soils and increase our biodiversity to make our farm more resilient–-join us for a tour of our small organic farm to see what we’ve been up to!

We took time off last summer to reconsider our long-term plans for the farm, and we’ll share how we’re using no-till techniques to gradually expand our fields so we have more room to grow. We’ll demonstrate how we’re tracking our progress in improving our soil health, scout for beneficial insects, and share some of our successes and challenges from this season.
