SUMMARY:Making Food Fun!
DESCRIPTION:It’s harvest season! Even the littlest hands can grasp the sweet taste of apples or the cheery fun of decorating small pumpkins. Come to CISA’s Making Food Fun event on Saturday\, November 5th\, 10am -12pm\, at Forest Park\, where learning\, food\, and fun intersect in a family event for all ages. \nPersonal chef and cooking instructor\, Bella Foodie\, will be on hand to show children how to assemble harvest ingredients into a tasty snack. Red Fire Farm will offer apple tasting\, where families can use a special worksheet to track data on multiple kinds of apples. There will be a station for children to decorate and take home small pie pumpkins from Red Fire Farm. Plus\, free cider samples from Bashista Orchards and harvest mini muffins from Elke’s Baked Goods. We’ll be there rain or shine! \nCISA is hosting Making Food Fun in partnership with the Winter Farmers’ Market at Forest Park. The event is free and park admission is free for the farmers’ market. Enter the park from Sumner Ave.\, Springfield\, and follow market signs to the Bright Nights’ storage building. Stop by to find other fall treats at this first winter farmers’ market of the season! The market is open 10am-2pm on the first and third Saturdays of the month through April.
