DESCRIPTION:Register here! \nJoin CISA for a remote heat safety training for farmers\, farm managers and crew leaders. Although farmers have always dealt with hot days\, climate trends show we can expect more frequent extreme heat events in our region\, bringing increased health risks to farm crews. This webinar will cover strategies for monitoring heat risk\, providing effective training\, communicating with employees\, and responding in an emergency.   \nSarah Janes Ugoretz of University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension will explain newly proposed OSHA guidelines for heat safety and provide practical guidance and examples of best practices. We’ll share resources farmers and managers can adapt for their own use\, including templates and training materials available in Spanish and English. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their own creative strategies\, discuss challenges\, and think about a heat safety plan for their farm.   \n\nDate: Thursday\, May 22\, 5-6:30pm ET\nLocation: Zoom (link will be provided after registration) \n\nThis webinar is part of CISA’s annual Adapt your Farm to Climate Change Series.
