Now this group is offering a more in-depth look at composting\, and is scheduling three free\, outdoor\, small-group workshops. Masks and social distancing will be required. \nGroups of 8 participants per session will get a socially distanced\, guided tour of Clear View Composting (a commercial compost facility in Orange\, MA). Participants will learn more about home composting and have an opportunity to purchase a home compost bin from a Franklin or Worcester County organization. \nWorkshops dates are: Sept. 11 from 4 – 6 pm and Sept. 12 from 10 am – 12 pm. \nSpace is limited and pre-registration is required; to sign up\, contact: greaterquabbinfoodalliance@gmail.com. \nThe Greater Quabbin Food Alliance\, sponsored by Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust\, is a network that connects people and resources within the local food system in the Greater Quabbin area and beyond. But\, we are happy that we had a great garlic harvest of 15 varieties\, and have lots of eating and seed garlic\, and beautiful braids to sell. \nHow to Get your Garlic! \nYou can…Stop in at the Seeds of Solidarity self-serve farm stand during daylight hours\, at your leisure anytime starting September 12th and into October to buy eating and seed garlic. You can get the best salad and cooking greens while there too! And/Or…Stop by on one of the Garlic Saturday afternoons listed above to stock up and meet the Seeds of Solidarity farmers.
