With a handle on production costs\, participants will be able to assess their marketing plans and options\, revise their product mix\, and project next year’s profits and cash flow. Each location is limited to 25 participants to facilitate in-depth learning. We encourage multiple people from a farm to attend together. \nThis workshop series is for those serious about acquiring new skills they can apply immediately in their own farm operations. Participants will need to commit to attending the four sessions\, completing homework assignments between sessions\, and applying what they learn to their farm operations. DESCRIPTION:The joy of growing fruit in the home garden is enjoying a renaissance.   One of the key steps in successful fruit growing is the act of pruning the trees.  This can seem daunting and complicated\, but it’s not!  Not once you understand the principles involved.  Come learn how to properly prune your fruit trees.  Participants will have the opportunity to conduct actual pruning and gain both experience and confidence in pruning apple trees in order to produce a bountiful crop. \nCost: $50 \nTo register or to find more information\, click here. \nThis workshop will be partially out of doors\, so please dress appropriately for potentially wet\, cold\, and muddy conditions.
