DESCRIPTION:Hampden Hampshire Conservation District invites area farmers to a Twilight Tour at Astarte Farm in Hadley as we discuss ‘Pollinator Habitat Conservation for Crop Producers’. Join Emily May\, a Xerces Society biologist\, as she speaks about mitigating pesticide risk to pollinators in crop systems; and certified organic producers Jim\, Dan and Annalise from Astarte as they share their success increasing Pollinator and beneficial insect habitat while we walk and talk while touring the farm. \nMichelle Cozine from NRCS will also be on hand to discuss the conservation practices installed at Astarte and the resource concerns they addressed\, including increasing crop yield and reducing pest management.
