Please email molly@buylocalfood.org if you would like to be placed on the waitlist.  \nJoin CISA and digital marketing expert\, Michael Crigler\, of Bueno Social for an in-person workshop exploring the graphic design thinking and guiding principles behind an effective farm website. Michael will discuss best practices and provide examples of website design that is visually appealing\, engaging for customers\, and drives farm sales. The workshop will include time for participants to consider changes to their own website and receive feedback from Michael and fellow farmers. Farmers will leave with a clearer plan to build from when speaking to a consultant to design or improve their site in the future. We’ll wrap up the event with a light dinner. \nIf possible\, please bring a laptop or other device to access your website during the event.  \nThis workshop will be capped at 25 participants. DESCRIPTION:Not Our Farm \n\n\n\nAnyone who has farmed for a day\, a week\, a month\, or a full season knows that farming is a MARATHON (maybe a series of marathons!)\, and not a sprint. When we look at farm work through the lens of sport and athleticism\, what changes for us? How does that impact our diet\, our noticing in our bodies\, our sleep hygiene\, and our confidence in how we advocate for ourselves? \nAt the next Free School session\, longtime farmer and farmworker\, strength athlete\, and personal trainer Cynthia Flores of Labor-Movement will discuss movement health and wellness for farmworkers from an athletic perspective. Cynthia asks: What does it mean to be a farmworker and an athlete? What is movement self-advocacy? \nYou can expect to learn tips on managing food\, fluid\, sleep\, and stress for best performance over long days and the season.
