She received a Certificate in Herbal Therapeutics and attended the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies. She received a Bachelors of Science from UMass\, Amherst in ‘Ethnobotany and Holistic Health’\, graduating magna cum laude from the Honors College. Here she also received a Certificate in Native American Studies as well as completing premedical coursework. She went on to receive a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport\, College of Naturopathic Medicine graduating at the top of her class earning the award for ‘Academic Excellence in Naturopathic Medicine’. She completed an advanced externship in pediatrics\, women’s health\, and family medicine as well as receiving advanced training in Sankaran Homeopathy. She became an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Hospital in Bronx\, NY and a certified practitioner in WTS Therapy. \nJus Crea has lectured extensively on Native American Herbology and leads ethnobotanical tours. She teaches Native American cultures\, histories and traditions. Previously she taught Nutrition at Springfield College and was a primary care physician in Brattleboro\, VT. Currently Dr. Giammarino practices Naturopathic Medicine in Springfield\, MA treating people of all ages.

Wherever you are in your forestland journey\, you will want to read this! \nThe U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) are co-sponsoring an online informational meeting on Monday February 5\, 2024 at 6pm for the forest land community on funding opportunities through the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) and DCR’s Stewardship Program. \nCSP helps agricultural producers\, including non-industrial private forest landowners take the conservation activities on their operations to the next level though a five-year contract. It provides a payment (minimum $4000/year) for maintaining the current conservation efforts on the land and for implementing new conservation activities. At least one new activity is required to participate in the program. \nJoin us at the meeting to hear from a MA forest landowner about his experience in receiving a recent CSP contract. NRCS will explain the eligibility requirements\, payment structure and available conservation activities. This is a timely meeting as MA has received additional funding for CSP\, and other programs\, through the Inflation Reduction Act – the largest climate and conservation investment in history. We will open spots to those on the waitlist if any registrants withdraw from the course. \nAre you a restaurant owner or a food business employee who needs their ServSafe Certification? Participate in our 2-in-1 Food Safety Workshop on February 7th to receive a ServSafe Certification and an Allergens Awareness Certificate at a reduced cost. Topics include safe food handling practices\, proper food preparation\, storage\, and serving techniques to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure food safety. The workshop will be led by Randy Crochier\, Director of Public Health at Franklin Regional Council of Governments & 20-year ServSafe instructor. All materials will be provided\, and a light lunch will be served. Only 15 spots are available!  \nLocation: CISA Office\, 1 Sugarloaf St\, South Deerfield MA. \nDate: Wednesday\, February 7th\, from 8am-5pm \nCost: $100 – The cost of this workshop is $100\, including the course and textbook.
