SUMMARY:Grow Food Everywhere for Great Health and Community
DESCRIPTION:Is there anything more important to health and survival than what you eat? In a world plagued by social ills\, disease\, and hunger\, we can all play a role in transforming our lives and communities toward greater health and abundance with fresh\, local food. Take back your power and learn to grow your own food everywhere—from lawns and windowsills to schools and urban lots. \nThis weekend\, through discussion\, contemplative practice\, and plenty of hands-on experience\, we gain skills and techniques to establish gardens and grow delicious food using low-cost local resources\, with minimal maintenance and climate-friendly methods. \nGuided by farmers Ricky Baruc and Deb Habib\, we create beautiful gardens and raised beds\, and learn season-extension practices that prepare us to take the lessons learned immediately into our lives and communities. \nThose new to gardening return home with enough knowledge and skill to grow their own food. Experienced gardeners learn new techniques to enrich their current gardens. We all gain ideas\, methods\, and inspiration to transform our gardening\, communities\, and lives.
