Gary and David of Harvest Farm:
- have shown a commitment to sustaining agriculture by working to make their farm profitable and successful
- have employed best practices such as Integrated Pest Management, crop rotations, and organic methods
- have represented Valley farmers at meetings, conferences, and other events to promote local agriculture
- have, as founding members of the Pioneer Valley Growers Association, worked to develop new markets and distribution channels
- have mentored beginning farmers
- have joined with other farmers to buy the Oxford Pickle Company, thereby keeping over 100 local residents employed and hundreds of acres of farmland productive
