Hiring: Assistant Grower – Hart Farm

Hart Farm is hiring to fill the assistant grower position for the 2018 season. This position is for a positive, hard and fast working farmer with at least 1 year’s experience of working on a farm.  The job entails working 2-4 days a week from 8/9am-5pm.  Pay for the 2018 season is $13/hr with lots of veggies, fruits, flowers and eggs to take home as well. Though there is some flexibility with start and end time, we define the working season for assistant growers to be April 1 – October 1.

The Assistant Grower understands the ins-and-outs of the farm. He/She/They is responsible for daily chores, field preparation, cultivation, harvesting, washing and packing produce. This means that the Assistant Grower is comfortable communicating with the Farm Manager and does not have a problem delegating his/her/their own jobs. The Assistant Grower will be trained in the beginning of the season and is expected to develop ownership of his/her/their work. The Assistant Grower may have work at farmer’s markets or in other vending situations and is expected to represent the farm in a respectful, friendly and considerate manner.

About Hart Farm:
