Broadfork Permaculture is a local ecological landscape design company that has been in operation since 2013. We have designed and installed gardens throughout the CT River Valley.
The design assistant will work with the lead designer and owner to create basemaps, create plant lists, and draft designs for local native and permaculture gardens. All designs are drafted by hand and completed with InDesign.
I hire creative, reliable, attention to detail workers who communicate well. I look for workers who can ask questions as needed, interact kindly with others, and stay focused on the work at hand. I give preference for workers with strong spatial and drawing skills, although I have hired many excellent people with no experience, who simply had a strong desire to learn.
Work is 1-2 days a week, on Tues/Fri. Days are usually 9:30am – 3pm. Reliable transportation required, because job-site locations change with short notice. Pay is a range of $15-$18/hour, depending on ability, with a raise if you work through the full season (both summer and fall).
