Farm Store Clerk

Atlas Farm is hiring for our retail farm store located in South Deerfield. Our farm store is open year-round, selling our own certified organic produce as well as other farm and food products from local producers in our area. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Duties include daily operating tasks at the store including opening and closing shifts, receiving inventory, maintaining produce displays, interacting with customers, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and coordinating activities with the farm store manager and assistant manager.

The ideal applicant will have experience in both agriculture and customer service. Applicants should have experience in retail sales, familiarity with fresh produce, strong communication skills, computer and keyboard literacy, a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Excellent people skills are a must: friendliness, patience, and a desire to engage and educate customers about our produce. In addition to customer interactions, you will be working alongside other clerks, assistants and a manager, and members of our field crew.

Days can be varied in pace. Applicants must be able to lift 50+ lbs., stand for extended periods, and be prepared to work hard and maintain a cheerful demeanor under varied conditions.

We maintain a collaborative and professional work environment, and are looking for a team member who can both follow direction and self-direct as needed. Starting wage is $13.50/hr.
