Farmers’ Market Staff
Job Description: Warner Farm is seeking folks to sell our produce at the Amherst and Greenfield Farmers’ Markets for the 2021 season! Market Staff is responsible for communicating directly with the public and must be comfortable and enthusiastic about regularly interacting with customers. Market Staff report directly to the Direct Market Manager.
Duties include: Arriving promptly on the farm on Saturday mornings; Packing/loading vehicle for market; Driving to, setting up, and breaking down market displays; Creating and maintaining an attractive produce display; Filling out market logs accurately; Facilitating sales and proper handling of cash; Answering customer questions about our farm and produce; Providing management with feedback regarding market, produce, customers, etc; Promoting a positive image of Warner Farm and ensuring
customer satisfaction at all times.
– At least one year of customer service experience
– Outgoing personality + love of engaging with customers
– Valid Driver’s License
– Previous farm experience
– Interest in cooking, fresh food, and local agriculture
This is a seasonal, part-time position requiring availability on Saturdays from 6am-late afternoon. The market season runs from early June through mid-September.
Pay starts at $13.75/hr and includes access to delicious, farm-fresh produce!
