Hiring: Farmstand Crew – Bardwell Farm
Farmstand Crew / Full & Part-time Positions Available
Job Description: Bardwell Farm is seeking highly motivated people that are interested in agriculture, enjoy working outdoors, not afraid of hard work, and adverse weather conditions. Individuals will report to the owner or manager and will work as a team and/or by themselves on a variety of different tasks throughout the work week. Tasks will include, and are not limited to rotating and
stocking of product, quality control checks, interacting and selling to customers, packaging product and capturing images for social media. Individuals must be willing to learn, collaborate and grow with our small but busy farm.
Work Agreement
• Full-time, 5-6 days a week, (subject to change)
• Part-time 2-3 days a week, (subject to change)
• 7:00am-7:00pm, half hour unpaid lunch
• Salary $12.75+ per hour (based on experience)
• April-November
• 30-day evaluation
Requirements
• Must have a positive work approach
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to operate a tablet and make change
• Knowledge of fruit and vegetables
• Being punctual and working scheduled hours
• Ability to work at an efficient and steady pace
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Valid driver’s license preferred
Duties
• Daily rotation and stocking of products
• Quality control performed several times per day
• Customer service
• Upselling farm to table products
• Maintaining retail tablet and cash box
• Cleaning and organization of farmstand
• Maintaining farmstand and CSA signage
• Capturing images for social media and marketing
• Responsible for the return of all tools and equipment after use
• Assist with CSA Program
• Packaging post-harvest products for retail
• Other post-harvest work
• Share ideas and collaborate
• Strive to meet all FSMA Standards
