Hiring: General Farm Help – Lyonsville Farm

Lyonsville Farm is a small, diversified vegetable farm in Colrain. Farm is 12 acres with 2 acres in production. We use organic practices, but are not certified. Produce is sold via farmers’ market, CSA, wholesale, and farm stand.

Schedule: Position starts mid-April through October and work week is generally Tuesday through Friday (8am-5pm) and Saturdays (6am-1:30pm).

Pay is commensurate upon experience and starts at $12/hour.

Job Description: Position is involved in all aspects of farm production including, but not limited to, greenhouse (seeding, potting, watering), hoophouse production (warm and cool season crops), field prep, planting, harvesting, wash and pack, weeding, delivering, and farmers’ market sales. The farm is maintained primarily with a two person crew so candidate must be comfortable working alone or with owner.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, concerned with the details, able to maintain a quick pace, enjoys working outside in all the elements, can lift 50lbs repeatedly, has a drivers’ license and is comfortable driving a cargo van and standard harvest truck.
