Hiring: Kitchen Crew- Kitchen Garden Farm
We produce value-added products (sriracha, salsa, pickles, tomato sauces, dried chilies) in our certified kitchen from ingredients grown on the farm. Full-time kitchen positions start in July and run through Thanksgiving, with the possibility of continuing into the winter. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work Monday-Saturday with speed, endurance, and good cheer. Hours are generally 7am-5pm M-F and 8am-1pm every other Saturday, up to 50 hours per week. Part time schedules (4 days/week) are also available. Previous farm or kitchen experience with ServeSafe preferred. Responsibilities in the kitchen include working to process and preserve crops grown on the farm, and also making, bottling, and packaging finished products. Kitchen team also harvests crops in the field on occasion.
Strong attention to detail and food safety, safe handling of equipment, ability to work independently and on a team, and eagerness to learn are all essential. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated and passionate individuals who want to do the work necessary to provide our community with the highest quality products possible.
Wage is $14/hour plus overtime > 40 hours, farm lunch, and organic vegetables.
