Hiring: Multiple Positions – Park Hill Orchard

In general we try to have a good time and earn the sense of accomplishment from a good day’s work. We try to eat well and stay hydrated. The view is fantastic and interesting people are all around.

Farm Worker – This summer’s work includes building a large apple trellis and mulching blueberries which means pounding poles and shoveling mulch. Now until about September. It would help if you are strong and able to put in a lot of hours. Ten dollars per hour, W2.  More pay and longer employment possible, depending on experience and temperment.

Berry Picker – Picking Raspberries, Blackberries, Mulberries and Blueberries. Now through August.  Berries should be picked after the morning dew evaporates and before the heat of the afternoon.  A picker should be willing to work all mornings that are not wet and rainy. Ten dollars per hour.  Some professional picking experience is preferable.  Dependable, fast, accurate, thorough, and quality concious. Applicant should like to eat berries more than most people.

Coordinator – Are you a person who can use email, phone and texts to coordinate a large volunteer force, greet and habituate the eager helpers, schedule and manage performers, parties, events and maybe a wedding or two. If so this is a great opportunity to show your chops. Five hundred dollars per week.

Farm Stand Help – The farm stand should be quite busy this autumn.  We need part time register and stocking help from mid-August through October.  General familiarity with the orchard environment is helpful.  You must be comfortable talking with lots of people.
