Hiring: Part-Time Prep Cook and Events Staff – Beets & Barley

Vegetarian catering company based in Haydenville, MA seeks part time employee to help with kitchen prep and events.   Position starts mid-April and schedule will be Mondays and Tuesdays 9-5 with 2-4 other days needed per month.  Compensation will be $10-$12/hour to start depending on experience.

Tasks will include:

• Prepping produce from local farms
• Dishwashing
• Helping to staff farmers market booth selling prepared foods
• Helping with all aspects of event service- set up, serving, bussing, dishwashing

Desired qualifications include:

• Previous kitchen work experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability in a fast paced environment
• Passion for cooking and locally grown food

Following skills a plus, additional hours possible for someone with experience in:

• Bookkeeping
• Photography, especially food photography
• Graphic design
• Managing social media
