Hiring: Seasonal Market Assistant – Orange Farmers’ Market

GOALFM, a volunteer collaborative formed to support local food marketing in Athol and Orange, seeks an energetic person to assist with promotion and planning for farmers markets in the two towns.

The market assistant will recruit and communicate with community groups who will provide a Kids Corner at one or both markets; periodically monitor signage across both towns; take photos to be used in press and social media; gather attendance and other data, and other duties as assigned. $12/hour for 4-6 hours per week for the 20-week market season (late May through mid-October), including at least an hour each at the Thursday afternoon Orange Farmers Market and the Saturday morning Athol Farmers Market plus one GOALFM meeting per month.

The successful applicant must have access to a vehicle and be proficient in digital communications and able to work well independently; familiarity with the Athol/Orange area a plus. Send a cover letter and resumé to cathy@cathystanton.net.
