The indoor Northampton Winter Farmers Market opens for the season Saturday at Smith Vocational High School.

The market runs weekly through April from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and boasts nearly 30 vendors selling local meats and cheeses, fruits and vegetables, baked goods, jams, coffee and other specialty items.

The market, founded in 2009, accepts Electronic Benefits Transfer and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program stamps.

Downtown Northampton's outdoor Saturday market on Gothic Street will have its last day Saturday until it reopens in spring. The Tuesday Market outside Thornes Marketplace is closed until late April.
