Pick-your-own, also called PYO or U-Pick, is a great way to get outside and connect with your local farms and food system! There are lots of options for PYO farms in the Connecticut River Valley. Pick your own items are seasonal but include windows for strawberries, peas (snap, shell & snow), perennial herbs (oregano, chives, thyme, peppermint, spearmint, tarragon, sage, basil, parsley & more), blueberries, green & yellow beans, assorted cut flowers, cherry tomatoes (15+ varieties!), paste tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, tomatillos, peaches (check for availability), hot peppers, sweet mini peppers, apples (check for availability), and pumpkins (Jack-O-Lantern, pie & exotic).
