Free Irrigation Tune-ups Program

Is your irrigation system working as well as it should be? Could you benefit from having an irrigation specialist take a look and identify ways to optimize the system?

CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture), in collaboration with AFT’s (American Farmland Trust) Prosperity Partners program is offering up to 10 free on-farm irrigation consultations for farms in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties. 

An AFT Technical Specialist will visit your farm, evaluate your irrigation system and water sources, and review your site’s geologic and hydrologic profile. AFT’s engineering team will then assess the findings and deliver a written report with clear, practical recommendations.  

CISA and AFT can provide follow-up technical assistance, and AFT can connect you with engineering design services if your farm needs them. 

There is no cost to participating farms. Space is limited, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all 10 spots are filled. Priority may be given to farms with the greatest demonstrated need and farms that have not recently received similar support. We encourage interested farms to apply as soon as possible.
