Do you know where your meat is coming from? Join us as we travel to Wheel-View farm in Shelburne, MA where they raise grass-fed beef and breeding stock from their primarily Belted Galloway herd. Their farm is more humane toward the animals, environmentally friendly and its beef is healthier for the consumer. After traveling to where the meat was produced, we talked with Kim, the meat buyer for Green Fields Market, which buys the majority of their meat from Wheel-View farm and other local farms. Not only do local markets supply this meat but so do restaurants. We stopped into The People’s Pint in Greenfield, MA where the majority of the food they sell to costumers is produced in the local area. Owner Alden Booth talked to us about his strong belief in supporting locally produced food.
