• Are drawn to contribute your wisdom and perspective to build success for a socially-responsible business
• Want to increase accessibility for all to healthy, local, fair-trade food
• Are interested in helping launch a cooperative business guided by the mission of “drawing together the diverse communities of the Amherst area in an inclusive space supporting food justice and local resilience,”

The Common Share Food Co-op has over 500 members, but needs more growth and direction, so that we can open our full-service, community and worker owned, cooperative grocery store serving the greater Amherst area.

Please introduce yourself if you can help us achieve our mission. We would like to add to our board of directors people who:

• Have expertise in finance, real estate, or law
• Have experience in starting a business
• Have talent in motivating and organizing a community effort
• Have a passion for social justice and belief in the power of local democracy
• Identify as people of color and are leading social change in the Amherst community
