Wanted: housing/land in western Mass

Hello! We are looking for housing and/or land in western MA. We have been living in southern Vermont for 4 years and western MA is a region we are really interested in rooting ourselves in.

A little more about what we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a two bedroom house or apartment in Franklin or Hampshire Counties, and are open to a lot of different possibilities. Ideal rent would be between $1,000-1,700, and if it’s not in that range, please still share- as we may be able to work something out. We are flexible for moving date, we’re looking for late Spring (April/May), but could move before or after that for the right place! We’re looking for a place that is more rural and has a little green space, but we are open to places in towns as well!

In addition to housing, we are looking to lease 10+ acres of open pasture land with access to a barn to graze lamb for meat. The land we farm does not have to be in the same location as our home, though of course that would make some things simpler. We are open to a lot of different possibilities- so feel free to reach out for more information and to connect!

Our long term goals are to buy land in the area to build a worker cooperative sheep dairy and  creamery alongside a social justice resource and education center. Our land search is for 70+ acres (with as much open as possible)- looking for land with home (3+ bedroom) and barns in as good condition as possible. We have been looking for land for the last 2+ years and are hoping soon to root ourselves in the community for the long term and to begin this vision.
