2016 Dairy Outlook Webinar

January 15, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Northeast dairy producers are invited to participate in the annual dairy outlook webinar being hosted by Farm Credit East on Friday, January 15, at 12:00 noon. This webinar will look at the year ahead and what’s coming in dairy economics, policies and regulations. Participation is free.

Class III and IV milk prices have started to converge and the U.S. All Milk Price has begun to rise. Is this the start of better times to come, or is this a “dead cat bounce?” Mark Stephenson, University of Wisconsin-Madison, will look at milk supply, demand and export factors and provide a 2016 dairy economic outlook.

Following, Karl Czymmek, Cornell University, and Leah Ziemba, from the Law Firm of Michael Best & Freidrich LLP, will cover new developments in environmental compliance, including the implications of recent court cases in Yakima Valley, Washington, and what they may mean for Northeast dairy producers. Additionally, information will be provided on the new NYS CAFO Permit and winter manure application.

Join us on Friday, January 15, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM to learn more about the outlook for the dairy industry in the coming year. This webinar is free to participate. Click here to register
