April Spring Farm for Kids at Winterberry Farm

It does look like the snow and ice will be gone, thank goodness!  We’ll spend the week together carrying for animals, young and old.  We’re sure to have chicks and ducklings, maybe some guinea keets and goslings, too.  And of course all the adult poultry.  All the ewes will have lambed but the goats will be pregnant and wanting to be spoiled…we can get them outside if it’s warm enough. Each child will choose their favorite sheep family and spend lots of time with them. We’ll work with the border collies and the guard dogs, plant seeds in the greenhouse both for the farm and to take home.  We’ve lots of woods to explore- and we hope you’ll all want to climb the far hill.  We’ll be finally working on the chicken coop!  And we’ll have lots of inside time for weaving, felting and cooking.  We begin each day at 8:15 and go until 5:00.  This program is limited to 6 kids in grades 2-6.  Kids bring a lunch each day, we provide beverages and snacks.$300 for the week.
