Barnfest 2018

Join Fabric of Life at our 2018 celebration of traditional handcrafts, agriculture, music and dance! Enjoy an afternoon of live folk music, local foods, and family-friendly hands-on crafts, and stay for a community potluck dinner, dancing and music into the wee hours.

BARNFEST is Fabric of Life’s annual benefit event — participation is free, but voluntary donations and a percentage of vendor sales will support Fabric of Life’s mission.

Schedule:

1 – 3pm: Sample (and bring home) local fare, including home-grown bread, pickles, beer and wood-fired pizza. Admire and purchase beautiful handcrafted items for your home

2pm: Scandinavian folk music jam AND Kids folk dance workshop AND Ukulele workshop for all

2 – 5pm: Watch demonstrations and participate in traditional handcrafts, such as weaving, spinning, timber framing, blacksmithing and natural dyeing

3:30pm: Balkan Folk Music Jam with the Harris Brothers

5pm: Potluck Supper — bring a main dish side dish, salad or dessert

6pm: Balkan Sing-a-long

7pm: Concert

8pm: Dance party and socializing with live music, with a performance by youth folk dance troupe Mladost at 8:30
