CISA Workshop for Farmers: Park Hill Orchard

Join us for an early evening farm tour and round table with our hosts, Russell Braen and Alane Hartley at Park Hill Orchard who practice the “Three T’s” of agritourism – Tours, Talks and Tastings – in order to create meaningful participatory experiences for visitors.
” There are several areas of tension in every agritourism operation. Parts of the business that are always at issue and never will be perfect. Things like PYO pricing and management, food and visitor safety, parking issues, children and parenting, arrangements for older and disabled people – not to mention dialing in the profit centers, branding and publicity, sponsorship and product placement, labor practices, regulation.
We propose to sit down, round table style, and share the bit we know about the devils in the details and we would really like to hear the experiences and insights gleaned from other operations like yours. So if you’re interested in what it’s like to have thirty thousand folks visit your farm during the three month season then make it a point to attend!”
