Family-friendly activities on your farm
Join CISA for a farm tour and workshop about how to make your farm a destination for families and school groups. Cheryl Fletcher of Fletcher Farm will talk about the festivals and field trips that bring families to their farm and farm store. We’ll tour the hay playground, hayrides, and pick-your own fields where they host hundreds of students on school field trips. University of Vermont Extension Agritourism Specialist Lisa Chase will lead a discussion about activities, promotion strategies, liability, and safety considerations. Whether your farm has been hosting school groups and families for years or you are thinking about getting started at any scale, bring your questions and stories.
This event will be at Fletcher Farm in Southampton, MA. Dinner will be provided. (And if it’s easier for you to attend if your kids tag along, we’ll feed them too!) Please register by Monday, September 8th.
