Farm and Garden Walk – Laughing Dog Farm

Farm Manager Danny Botkin will be leading a narrated farm and garden walk at Laughing Dog Farm in Gill this Sunday afternoon.
Laughing Dog Farm stewards a unique, five+ acre, “permaculture-inspired” homestead with mixed greenhouses, gardens, goats, orchard, interns and rabbits. They employ a radical sheet mulching motif, with minimal tillage, continuous coverage, low-tunnel season extension, and an ever increasing proportion of perennial cultivars, such as chestnut (chinese), kiwi, paw-paw, peaches asian pears, ribes, berries, etc. They also teach classes on the farm and mentor WWOOFers and other green learners who come through.
Participants will circum-ambulate around their tiny farm and see (taste?) what all is going on at this explosive moment of this tremendous growing season.
