Pruning and Grafting Workshop
March 19, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Spring is the season for pruning and grafting, two skills necessary for healthy trees. Pruning allows air flow through your trees to minimize fungal diseases, and can cause old trees to fruit again. This workshop will cover pruning trees of all ages, including recovery pruning for abandoned trees. Grafting allows for changes in the apple varieties that trees grow, including having multiple varieties grow on one tree. Participants will practice grafting techniques and observe the outcome of grafts over time in the Bear Swamp orchard.
Cost includes a farmstead continental lunch. Workshops are capped at 12 participants; to sign up go to and buy a ticket online here. Contact us if you have any questions, hope to see you.
