Red Fire Farm’s 14th Annual Tomato Festival

Every year, Red Fire Farm has an unbelievable selection of amazing and often award-winning tomatoes for you to taste. It’s a great day at the farm, with everything from a 5K Tomato Trot field race to hay rides to cooking demonstrations to live music to crafters and a smorgasbord of local fare from area producers. Festival Schedule and Details For 2014
10:30 AM – Tomato Trot 5K starts. Day-of registration and sign in opens at 9 am.
Main Festival opens 12-5. Admission is $5, kids under 12 get in free. CSA and Farmstand Members get two free entries per share/membership.

12:00 PM – Alan Rifkin – outdoor cooking, demonstrating making tomato sauce and sun dried tomatoes
1:15 PM – JJ Gonson – chef and leader at Cuisine En Locale, Somerville, MA
3:45 PM – Lourdes Smith – How to Make Fresh Mozzarella by mozzarella cheesemaker and owner of Fiore di Nonno, Somerville

4:00 PM- Flower Arranging with Kiersten Wulff, Red Fire Farm’s Flower Grower. Please BYO flowers from the PYO patch to arrange!
