Tours of Seeds of Solidarity and Little White Goat Dairy

Come visit Seeds of Solidarity and Little White Goat Dairy farms! Both farm tours are free, no pre-registration; come for the morning, afternoon, or both. Enjoy an optional potluck lunch at Seeds of Solidarity in-between. Fabulous farm-fresh products will be available for purchase at both locations. Add in a visit to Quabbin Harvest Co-op and a tasting at Honest Weight brewery and you’ve made it a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
10-11.30 am: Seeds of Solidarity Farm Tour, 165 Chestnut Hill Road, Orange. Farmers Ricky and Deb offer this tour of their vibrant farm, featuring innovative no-till and low maintenance gardens, solar greenhouses, energy efficient buildings, and solar electric & hot water systems. Also learn about Seeds of Solidarity’s educational programs that ‘awaken the power to ‘Grow Food Everywhere’ to transform hunger to health and create resilient lives and communities.’
1PM-2.30 PM: Little White Goat Dairy at Heritage Fields Farm Tour, 309 Gidney Road, Orange. Walk the pastures and experience the raw goat milk and fermented milk products dairy. Farmers Rachel and Bruce will talk about the microbiome of the soil, the animals, and our own bodies- and how they all interrelate for healthy systems from the ground up.
